The Federal High Court has reinstated Philip Shaibu as the Deputy Governor of Edo State, declaring his impeachment illegal and unconstitutional.
Justice James Omotosho ruled that Shaibu’s removal violated constitutional provisions and ordered his reinstatement with all entitlements.
The court also issued an injunction preventing Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Edo State House of Assembly from hindering Shaibu’s duties. Additionally, the Inspector General of Police was directed to restore Shaibu’s security details.
