Senator Mas’ud El-Jibril Doguwa, a prominent politician from Kano, along with his supporters and political associates, has announced their resignation from the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The decision, effective July 11, 2024, comes after extensive consultations with constituents who feel the APC has not utilized their political experience effectively.
Doguwa criticized the APC for its lack of inclusivity in policy discussions and decision-making processes. He stated that many of the party’s policies are “anti-people oriented” and do not align with their political ideology.
The group has decided to return to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), citing a need for more active political engagement. This move represents a significant shift in Kano’s political landscape and could have implications for future elections in the state.
