Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has formally declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, aligning with the Rivers Rainbow Coalition.
In a separate move, Fubara also endorsed the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Chinda, as his preferred successor, urging supporters to rally behind the political alliance.
The governor said the era of political conflict in Rivers is over and called for unity. The endorsements mark a significant shift in the state’s political landscape, with Fubara consolidating ties with the presidency while shaping the race to succeed him.
