Governor Sule of Nasarawa Sacked; PDP Declared Winner

The governorship election petition tribunal in Nasarawa State has nullified the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule and declared David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected governor.
This decision, announced on Monday, saw two justices concurring that the election favored the PDP candidate, while one judge dissented.
Governor Sule, who ran on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), sought re-election for a second term. Ombugadu had challenged the results, and the tribunal’s ruling has overturned the earlier outcome, making him the declared winner.
