Former Information Minister Professor Jerry Gana says ex-President Goodluck Jonathan will contest the 2027 election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking after the PDP Niger State Congress, Gana insisted Nigerians are clamouring for Jonathan’s return after witnessing two administrations since his exit.
He dismissed claims of internal crisis in the PDP, noting that founding fathers have already reconciled divisions.
At the congress, Aliyu Mohammed Halidu was elected state chairman with 1,289 votes, while Khadi Kuta and Salome Ndakosu emerged secretary and woman leader.
Gana urged Nigerians to “shine their eyes” and restore Jonathan to power for what he called “people-centred governance.”
