Oyegun, Utomi, Lukman Named to Lead ADC Policy, Manifesto Committee

The African Democratic Congress has constituted a 50-member Policy and Manifesto Committee, appointing former Senate President John Odigie-Oyegun as chairman, with Professor Pat Utomi as deputy chairman and Salihu Lukman as secretary.

Announcing the committee, the party’s spokesperson, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the move reflects ADC’s commitment to developing a credible, people-centred and forward-looking policy framework.

The committee comprises former public office holders, academics, technocrats, civil society leaders and professionals drawn from across the country.

The party said the team is mandated to craft a coherent manifesto that addresses Nigeria’s challenges and positions the ADC as a serious alternative platform for national renewal.

The committee is expected to be inaugurated in early February in Abuja. However, civil society activist Yemi Adamolekun publicly questioned her inclusion, saying she was never consulted or enlisted as a party member.
