Presidency Denies Budget Padding, Condemns Senator’s Claims

The Presidency has denied accusations of budget padding, emphasizing that the implemented budget aligns precisely with the figure approved by the National Assembly.

Senator Abdul Ningi’s assertions, labeling the budget as inflated, were rebutted, with the Presidency labeling them as inaccurate and misleading.

This rebuttal followed Ningi’s claims that the executive had surreptitiously implemented a budget significantly larger than the one ratified by the legislative body.

The Presidency, through its Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, underscored the transparency and adherence to due process in budgetary matters.
