President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mr. Ola Olukoyede as the new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to a statement from the presidential spokesman, Olukoyede, a lawyer with over 22 years of experience, previously served as Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of the EFCC from 2016 to 2018 and later as Secretary to the Commission from 2018 to 2023.
His appointment follows the resignation of the suspended Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa. President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda as Secretary of the anti-graft Commission.
