President Tinubu Signs N70,000 Minimum Wage Bill Into Law

President Bola Tinubu has signed the bill to law on Nigeria’s minimum wage from ₦30,000 to ₦70,000.
The signing took place at the State House in Abuja on Monday, following extensive negotiations between the government and labor unions.

Tinubu’s move fulfills a campaign promise to raise wages amid rising living costs. The new minimum wage will be reviewed every three years.
This comes as inflation hits 34% and living costs soar, particularly due to the removal of the fuel subsidy and naira devaluation.
