The House of Representatives has extended the deadline for implementing the capital component of the N2.17 trillion 2023 supplementary budget from January 31 to June 30, 2024.
The decision followed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s transmission of a bill seeking the extension to address security and economic challenges.
The move aimed to ensure effective utilization of budgetary allocations towards addressing pressing national issues. With the extension, the government can continue critical projects and initiatives outlined in the supplementary budget, reflecting a commitment to fostering socio-economic development.
