The House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee has called upon the Central Bank Governor to appear before it on Tuesday, March 5, concerning issues related to leakages within the REMITA platform.
Chairman Hon. Bamidele Salam issued the summons in a letter, emphasizing the importance of the Governor’s presence to address the investigative process on revenue leakages.
The Committee stressed the necessity for the Governor’s personal attendance, highlighting previous correspondences and constitutional provisions empowering the Committee to summon individuals and issue warrants for non-compliance.
Failure to adhere to this invitation may result in further action by the Committee.
