The House of Representatives committee investigating the Public Finance Investment and Procurement Committee (PFIPC) has released an interim report, uncovering 58 bank accounts linked to a key figure in the probe.
The accounts are said to be connected to Adeyemi, a central personality in the ongoing investigation.
However, the panel cleared Femi Gbajabiamila, the former Speaker, of any wrongdoing, stating that findings were based on oral testimony, documentary evidence, financial records, and submissions from government institutions and private organisations.
The committee’s revelations have sparked fresh debate over financial impropriety in public office, with many Nigerians demanding full prosecution of those implicated.
The interim report is expected to guide further legislative action as the probe continues.
