Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court confirmed the sighting of the Dhul-Hijjah crescent, greenlighting the start of Hajj on June 4, the Day of Arafah on June 5, and Eid Al-Adha celebrations on June 6.
Authorities urged citizens to report any additional crescent sightings to local courts to finalize Muslim-calendar dates.
The Kingdom has also declared a week-long public holiday for both government and private-sector employees to facilitate pilgrimage and festival observance.
To date, over 1.1 million pilgrims have entered Saudi Arabia—1,044,341 by air, 53,850 by land, and 4,278 via sea ports—underscoring flawless logistical preparations under Saudi Vision 2030.
The General Directorate of Passports highlighted advanced entry-processing technology and multilingual staff at international ports, while other agencies have deployed digital services to smooth travelers’ journeys.
With robust security, health, and accommodation plans in place, Saudi Arabia is poised to deliver one of the safest and most seamless Hajj seasons in recent history.
