Senator Ireti Kingibe has dismissed allegations that she sponsored the recent protest in Abuja.
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, had suggested that a senator was providing support to protesters, but Kingibe has clarified that the footage in question is from a six-week-old Labour Party NWC meeting.
In a statement, Kingibe expressed outrage at the false claims and asserted that she has been ill and unable to participate in any protests. She condemned the spread of misinformation and called for the public to disregard the unfounded allegations.
