The Kano State Ministry of Health has clarified that the recent strange deaths recorded at Gundutse village in Kura Local Government Area were caused by severe malaria and typhoid. The ministry attributed the alarming environmental health challenges to the proliferation of disease vectors and deterioration of public health.
The ministry recommended measures to address the situation, including sample collection and analysis of water sources, chlorination of water sources, environmental sanitation, and hygiene activities. The government also appealed to the public to report any suspicious cases of illness to the nearest health facility.
The Kano State Government has also launched an investigation into the matter and has promised to take necessary actions to prevent future occurrences.
