Tinubu Begs Youths to Shelve Protests, Promises Quick Action

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerian youths to cancel their planned protests against his administration’s policies, promising that measures are being taken to address their concerns.

Speaking to reporters after meeting with Tinubu, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris conveyed the President’s message, emphasizing Tinubu’s commitment to listening to and acting on the youths’ grievances.

Idris highlighted the rapid passage of the National Minimum Wage Amendment Bill by the National Assembly as an example of the government’s responsiveness. He assured that additional interventions would follow to alleviate the current hardships faced by Nigerians, urging the youth to give the government more time to implement these measures.
