President Bola Tinubu has issued a clear ultimatum to his cabinet members, stating that they must work diligently to achieve the mandates of their ministries or be prepared to leave the government.
Speaking at the 2023 Cabinet Retreat in Abuja, President Tinubu emphasized the ministers’ responsibility to serve the people who entrusted their mandate to him.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to lifting 50 million Nigerians out of poverty and called on ministers to focus on the progress of their ministries.
President Tinubu established Results Delivery Units and urged ministers to be intellectually inquisitive and take immediate action. He also warned them against being antagonistic to their supervisor but encouraged open debates.
President Tinubu stated that his administration was determined to turn the nation’s population into an asset and called for practical determination, focus, and leadership to make democracy a lasting reference for Africa.
