Tinubu Promises End To Insecurity At Ogun Airport Commissioning

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has again assured Nigerians that the government will defeat terrorism and banditry despite persistent attacks across several parts of the country.

Tinubu made the promise during the commissioning of the Gateway International Airport in Iperu, Ogun State, built by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

The president said Nigeria was on the path to development and that ongoing economic reforms were restoring investor confidence.

“We will win over banditry and terrorism,” Tinubu said while praising Abiodun’s infrastructure projects.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who attended the ceremony, described the airport as a landmark project that would improve transportation in Ogun State.

While the event celebrated infrastructure development, critics say such promises from the federal government have been repeated for years while insecurity continues to spread in many parts of the country.

Security analysts argue that beyond speeches and assurances, Nigerians are increasingly demanding concrete results as attacks by terrorists, bandits and kidnappers persist across several regions.
