President Bola Tinubu has signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law, reinstating “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” the original anthem sung at independence.
This decision follows the bill’s swift passage by the Senate and House of Representatives last week.
Attorney-General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, had objected to the bill’s rapid approval, criticizing the lack of public consultation.
