Tinubu Still in Control, Will Return After Easter – Presidency

Despite his continued stay abroad, President Bola Tinubu remains fully in charge of Nigeria’s affairs, the Presidency has said.

Tinubu, who left for Paris two weeks ago before heading to London, will return to Abuja after the Easter holiday. This comes as critics raise concerns over his prolonged absence.

However, a statement from the Presidency assures Nigerians that there is no governance vacuum. “The President is fully engaged, issuing directives, including on security matters,” the statement noted.

Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga had earlier said Tinubu would return after a fortnight. The Presidency added that the President maintains constant communication with top government officials and has not neglected his duties. “Governance continues uninterrupted.

His commitment remains unwavering,” the statement said. The statement follows opposition concerns over transparency and accountability, but Aso Rock insists Nigeria remains stable under Tinubu’s remote leadership.
