President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has set to attend the COP28 Climate Summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The conference, also known as the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, will take place from December 1 to 2, 2023, under the theme “Unite, Act, and Deliver.” Tinubu will deliver a national statement, highlighting Nigeria’s stance on various issues, including renewable energy and climate financing.
The president aims to advocate for increased support to developing nations, remind developed countries of their pledge to provide $100 billion annually, and emphasize sustainable and responsible practices. Tinubu will also explore bilateral partnerships to implement Nigeria’s Energy Transition and other initiatives.
