President Bola Tinubu presented the 2025 Appropriation Bill, totaling ₦47.96 trillion, to a joint session of the National Assembly.
The event took place amidst heightened security measures, with increased presence from various security agencies and restrictions on access to the complex.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio presided over the session alongside Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen.
Akpabio emphasized the need for reforms and urged ministers to respect parliamentary invitations.
He also revealed the extension of the 2024 budget to June 2025. The presentation marks a crucial step in the government’s fiscal planning for the upcoming year.
