Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have neutralised terrorists and intercepted a large cache of ammunition during separate operations in Zamfara and Kaduna states.
The military said the operations were conducted based on intelligence reports, leading to the elimination of several bandits.
In Zamfara, troops engaged terrorists in a gunfight, killing many and recovering weapons. In Kaduna, an ammunition courier was intercepted, preventing supplies from reaching bandits.
The successes are attributed to the military’s renewed offensive against banditry in the North-West. Residents have expressed relief but called for sustained operations to end the insecurity.
The military has assured that it will continue to degrade terrorist capabilities and restore peace in the region.
