Troops from Operation Hadarin Daji have successfully rescued six students who were kidnapped from the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State. The abduction occurred during an armed bandit attack on Sabon Gida village in the early hours of Friday.
The attackers, wielding dangerous weapons, targeted three hostel buildings and abducted an unspecified number of students, including female students. Sabon Gida village is located near the Federal University’s permanent site in Zamfara State.
While the details of the rescue operation remain unclear at this time, the recovery of six students is a positive development in the ongoing effort to combat kidnapping in the region.
