The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to address the economic challenges facing Nigerians urgently.
In a statement by the Deputy Senate President, Comrade Alade Abayomi, NAUS expressed deep concern over the widespread suffering caused by the high cost of living and other socio-economic issues.
The association emphasized the urgent need for decisive action to alleviate the burden on citizens before the situation escalates further. NAUS urged the government to implement measures such as targeted subsidies on education, transportation, and essential goods, as well as social welfare programs to assist vulnerable populations.
Additionally, they called for investment in infrastructure development, job creation initiatives, and anti-corruption efforts to improve the overall economic situation. The association warned of potential protests if their concerns are not addressed promptly.
