Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed the Nigerian government’s strong commitment to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as a means of fostering economic development.
During a tour of exhibition stands at the BRICS Trade Fair in Johannesburg, South Africa, Shettima highlighted the importance of MSME empowerment in contributing to the nation’s economic growth, particularly in supporting youth and women.
He praised President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to this cause and predicted positive changes in Nigeria’s economic fortunes in the coming months. Shettima also commended the trade fair’s organizers for facilitating investment and trade among BRICS countries and lauded Nigerian investments in South Africa, particularly in the digital economy, fashion, and mining sectors.
The BRICS Trade Fair aims to promote products, services, and business interactions among BRICS nations to enhance trade and investment within the bloc.
