The Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) has urged President Tinubu to address the immediate needs of Nigerians, warning that the country is suffering deeply due to fuel price hikes, lack of electricity, and rising food costs.
YCE Secretary General, Chief Oladipo Oyewole, stressed that millions are struggling to survive and called for swift measures to provide relief.
The elders advised Tinubu to refocus on improving daily living conditions while pursuing long-term economic reforms.
They rejected the distribution of palliatives, advocating instead for improved governance and infrastructure to ease the current hardship.
