Hezbollah fighters clashed with Israeli forces on Lebanon’s southern border as violence between the two sides escalated into a full-scale conflict.
Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah positions, with the military reporting over 1,100 deaths in Lebanon since late September.
Hezbollah responded with rocket attacks, including one that hit Ramat David air base in northern Israel, marking a significant escalation. Israel’s strikes included the killing of top Hezbollah leaders and an Iranian general.
Meanwhile, the conflict has spread across the region, with Iran launching missiles at Israel, and militant allies from Yemen joining the fray.
Tensions are running high as the violence threatens to plunge the region into deeper chaos, just days before the anniversary of Hamas’s 2023 attack on Israel.
The situation has displaced hundreds of thousands, with hospitals and civilian areas being severely impacted by ongoing bombardments.
Israel has vowed further retaliation, while Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei warned that resistance in the region would persist despite the mounting casualties.
