Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization President Mohammad Eslami has vowed that the country’s nuclear program will continue unabated, despite recent U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on key facilities.
In an interview with state-run IRIB on Tuesday, Eslami confirmed that preparations to restore operations had been made in advance and that damage assessments are underway. “We have arranged and prepared to ensure there is no pause in our nuclear production and services,” he asserted.
On June 13, Israel launched air raids on several sites, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, targeting nuclear infrastructure and senior personnel.
Iran retaliated with missile and drone strikes on Israeli territory, prompting the United States to bomb three Iranian nuclear sites last Saturday.
Iran then launched a missile attack on the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
Despite U.S. President Trump’s announcement of a “complete and total ceasefire” between Israel and Iran, Eslami’s remarks underscore Tehran’s determination to maintain its nuclear capabilities.
He dismissed ceasefire claims in the absence of verifiable commitments, adding that any new missile launches attributed to Iran—denied by Tehran—would not deter its program.
Iran remains poised to rebuild and advance its nuclear activities, regardless of external pressures.
