1.5 Million Pilgrims Flock to Saudi Arabia as Hajj Begins Amid Heat Advisory

Just a day before the start of this year’s Hajj, Saudi Arabia has welcomed over 1.5 million pilgrims from around the globe.

The General Directorate of Passports reported that 1,547,295 pilgrims have arrived through various ports by Monday, June 10.

Health officials, including Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali, have issued warnings about the soaring temperatures and advised pilgrims to take precautions such as using umbrellas, staying hydrated, and taking rest breaks.

The Ministry of Health is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for pilgrims during the Hajj rituals.
