The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost direction and will face certain rejection by Nigerians in the 2027 elections.
In a communiqué issued after its 7th meeting of 2025, held in Gusau, Zamfara State, the Forum, chaired by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, described the APC as “a party with no vision and no agenda.”
The governors reaffirmed that the PDP’s National Convention, scheduled for November 15 in Ibadan, would proceed despite attempts by “anti-party forces” to derail it.
The Forum urged members to remain vigilant, stressing that unity and loyalty were key to repositioning the PDP as Nigeria’s only viable alternative. It condemned alleged intimidation by the APC-led Federal Government, the “over-militarisation” of elections, and the worsening insecurity in Katsina, Plateau, Niger, and Benue States.
The governors also commended Zamfara’s government for its security efforts, while thanking the state for hosting. They paid tribute to late traditional rulers in Zamfara and Oyo States.
According to the communiqué, “The APC is a desperate party already doomed to be rejected by the Nigerian people.”
